Was surprised to see that Audrey Auyong was the worship leader (BBPC)

What does it mean to pass judgement on others?

1. God’s basis of Judgement (Romans 2:1-4)

Principle 1: God’s judgement based on truth is His means of grace to lead sinners to repentance

2. God’s Principles of Judgement (Romans 2: 5-16)

Principle 2: God judges each person impartially according to the light they have.

3. God Judges the Heart (Romans 2:17-29)

Principle 3: A true believer is one who is transformed by Jesus Christ in the heart

[16] For everything in the world---the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life---comes not from the Father but from the world. [17] The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

God’s Wrath against Sinful Humanity (Romans 1:18-32)

Aim: Nothing is more important than to respond to the truth about God!

1. God is Real (Rom 1:18-20)

Key theme: Wrath of God

Principle 1: God’s wrath is real and is poured out on humanity because they reject Him.

2. God is scorned (Rom 1:21-23)

Principle 2: those who refuse to worship God have futile thinking & foolish hearts.

3. God gives them over (Rom 1:24-32)

Principle 3: wilful rejection of God leads to self-destruction and eternal death.

Humanity’s Unrighteousness & Need for the Gospel (Romans 1:1-17)

The good news of Jesus Christ, the Hope of the world, is to be shared widely

1. God’s Call to Everyone (Romans 1:1-7)

Principle 1: Jesus Christ rightly calls us to claim us for Himself.

2. God’s plan for His Gospel (Romans 1:8-15)

Principle 2: The Gospel obligates those who received it to share it with the world.

3. God’s Gift of Righteousness (Romans 1:16-17)

Principle 3: Righteousness is a gift from God when we believe in Jesus & follow Him
