Hymn of Promise
In the bulb there is a flower; in the seed, an apple tree;
In cocoons, a hidden promise: butterflies will soon be free!
In the cold and snow of winter there’s a spring that waits to be,
Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.
There’s a song in every silence, seeking word and melody;
There’s a dawn in every darkness, bringing hope to you and me.
From the past will come the future; what it holds, a mystery,
Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.
In our end is our beginning; in our time, infinity;
In our doubt there is believing; in our life, eternity,
In our death, a resurrection; at the last, a victory,
Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.

Thank God for entrusting these me under my care ... for his constant provision and strength to be a GL over the last 29 weeks. Having cleared the many obstacles to ensure I can lead them.

Pray that from this study together, it will help the men in their continued journey of faith and spiritual growth.

b. For the "anti-materialistic" ... message is that there is nothing evil about beautiful / precious things
c. For the "Rich" (in this world) .... it serves as a healthy antidote to materialism .. as all earthly treasures will pale in comparison to the heavenly treasures in John's vision.

Truly fascinating. If you did wonder why God did not choose diamond or ruby among the 12 stones.....

When Suffering => Dependance on God; not by my own strength; comfort and refuge is God
Suffering for believers is Temporal … Hope & Victory won => Rev 21:4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
