The Woman & the Beast (Rev 17)

Aim: Jesus will defeat all people & systems that oppose Him

1. The "Beauty" Revealed (Rev 17:1-6)

Principle 1: The world system is dressed-up evil to oppose God & His people.

2. The "Beauty" Exposed (Rev 17:7-14)

Principle 2: Those who oppose Jesus will be defeated.

3. The "Beauty" Destroyed (Rev 17:15-18)

Principle 3: God turns man's evil to fulfil His Word & accomplish His purposes

God's Perfect Justice & Mercy

Aim: God acts in perfect justice & in powerful mercy for the good of His people.

1. God's Justice & Mercy

Principle 1: God's mercy welcomes repentant sinners until final judgement

2. God's Justice & Mercy in the Old Testament

Principle 2: God's justice is always woven with His mercy.

3. God's Justice & Mercy in New Testament

Principle 3: There is no greater mercy of God thanthe cross of Christ.

The Bowl Judgements (Rev 15-16)

Aim: God reveals His praise-worthy character in his powerful judgement.

1. Preparation for Judgement (Rev 15:1-8)

Principle 1: God's righteous character ensures just judgement.

2. Outpouring of Judgement (Rev 16:1-11)

Principle 2: Those who refuse God's grace have chosen to face God's wrath.

3. Finality of Judgement (Rev 16:12-21)

Principle 3: God's final judgement of the earth will be complete.
