God’s Glory in Salvation

Aim: God is sovereign over all things & faithful in all He does

1. God is faithful to His Word (Rom 9:1:13)

Principle 1: God is always faithful to His people

2. God’s justice and mercy in election (Rom 9:14-29)

Principle 2: God chooses to save some but not others

Why is God so unfair?

Why does God even bother to save any man?God is absolutely sovereign If God relinquished control to free will of humanity ... then it cannot fulfill his purpose and plan

Problem is we / man can’t accept this fact ... equating us to God ... thus is a perspective problem!  Who am I but the clay.

Romans 28-39 : Secured in God’s love

Aim: Believers are eternity security in God’s purpose and love

1. God’s purpose for His People will be accomplished (Romans 8:28-30)

Principle 1: God is sovereignly at work for His people to be Christ-like

2. God’s people are eternally secure (v31-39)

Principle 2: God’s people are perfectly secure in God’s unchanging love forever!

Hardships and suffering is part of believer’s life.

Qn ... How a loving all powerful God allows suffering in the world?

Aim: Today’s problems are nothing compared to eternal glory

1. Glorious Hope (Romans 8:18-25)

Principle 1: The hope of glory encourages & strengthens believers to suffer patiently and eagerly

2. Glorious Helper (Romans 8:26-27)

Principle 2: Suffering believers have the help of the Holy Spirit to pray and to intercede for them.

Aim: Holy Spirit enables believers to live holy lives

1. No Condemnation (Romans 8:1-4)

Principle 1: Those in Christ are freed from the law of sin and death.

V1-4 .. Foundation to live righteous lives in Christ

2. Two kinds of People (Romans 8:5-13)

Principle 2: Those in Christ live lives directed towards God

3. Children of God (Romans 8:14-17)

Principle 3: Those in Christ are children of God and co-heirs with Christ

Put trust in Christ ... we can never loose our salvation!!
